Year 3 Teaching Assistant - Primary School in Islington

Full-time | Long-term | £95-£105 per day (PAYE)

A friendly and inclusive primary school in Islington is looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to support a Year 3 class from 1st September 2025. This is a full-time, long-term position running for the entire academic year until July 2026.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a Teaching Assistant who is confident supporting learning in lower Key Stage 2 and is passionate about helping children thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Information:

Start Date: 1st September 2025

Location: Islington

Role: Full-time, Monday to Friday

Hours: 08:30am - 3:45pm

Pay: £95-£105 per day (PAYE)

Contract: Long-term until July 2026

As a Year 3 Teaching Assistant, You Will:

Support the class teacher with day-to-day classroom duties

Provide small group and 1:1 support for pupils in Year 3

Help manage classroom behaviour and routines

Support children with additional needs and SEND, ensuring they are fully included in lessons

Assist with the preparation of learning materials and classroom resources

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will Have:

Previous experience working in a Teaching Assistant role within a primary school

Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, consistent approach

Experience supporting children with SEND and additional needs

A genuine passion for education and child development

This role is ideal for a proactive and committed Teaching Assistant who enjoys working with KS2 children and is looking to make a real impact in a supportive school environment.
