Year 1 Class Teacher – Primary School

Aspire People are currently recruiting for a passionate and dedicated Year 1 Class Teacher to join a supportive and welcoming primary school. This is a fantastic opportunity for a teacher who enjoys supporting pupils as they transition from EYFS into Key Stage 1 , building strong foundations in phonics, literacy, and numeracy.

The school has a strong leadership team, excellent resources, and a collaborative environment where staff are supported to succeed.

The Role:

Full class teacher responsibilities including planning, preparation, and assessment

Delivering engaging lessons aligned with the KS1 curriculum

Supporting early reading, writing, and phonics development

Creating a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment

Monitoring pupil progress and adapting teaching to meet individual needs

Working closely with teaching assistants and year group staff

The Ideal Candidate:

Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

Experience teaching in KS1 or strong understanding of Year 1 expectations

Confidence delivering phonics sessions

Strong classroom management skills

Enthusiastic, organised, and passionate about teaching
