About the Role

This is a perfect opportunity for someone who has a passion for working with children, especially those with additional needs, and who may have previous experience in nurseries, playwork, family support or has studied child psychology, education, or a similar childcare-related degree.

In this role, you’ll be making a real impact by offering tailored support to pupils with needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social-emotional challenges. Every day will bring something new, and your presence will help create a safe and encouraging space where all children can thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

* Offering gentle, one-to-one support and classroom assistance for children with SEN

* Supporting emotional regulation and positive behaviour strategies

* Working alongside teachers to adapt learning activities where needed

* Being a steady, reliable presence for children who may struggle with transitions or routines

* Promoting confidence, independence, and enjoyment in learning

Ideal Candidate:

* Has a background in childcare or support work with children or young people

* Holds a degree or training in Child Psychology, Education, or Early Years (desirable but not essential)

* Brings a calm, patient, and positive attitude to the classroom

* Is keen to learn and grow within a supportive school setting

* Can start immediately and commit to full-time hours

Why This School?

* A kind and welcoming team who are passionate about inclusive education

* A creative, child-centred learning environment

* Great transport links and access to ongoing development opportunities

* A chance to make a real difference every single day
