Unqualified English Teacher - Daventry

Location: Daventry

Start Date: September 2025

Contract: Full-Time | Long-Term | Potential for Permanent Placement

Salary: £100-£160 per day (based on experience and responsibilities)

Secondary schools in Daventry are looking for enthusiastic and committed individuals to take on Unqualified English Teacher roles starting in September 2025. These long-term positions are perfect for aspiring educators looking to build classroom experience and develop their teaching skills in a supportive environment.

Your Responsibilities Will Include:

Delivering engaging and structured English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students

Supporting the development and delivery of curriculum content across reading, writing, and spoken English

Creating a classroom atmosphere that promotes discussion, creativity, and confidence

Managing classroom behaviour to maintain a calm, respectful learning environment

Differentiating instruction to meet the needs of a diverse student cohort

Assessing student progress and providing constructive feedback

Participating in ongoing training, including safeguarding and subject-specific CPD

What We're Looking For:

A degree in English, English Literature, Creative Writing, or a related subject

A genuine passion for teaching and working with young people

Excellent communication skills and classroom presence

Patience, adaptability, and a proactive attitude toward student development

An interest in progressing into teacher training pathways (PGCE, SCITT, QTS Apprenticeships)

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one
