Are you passionate about supporting children in their early years and helping them thrive in school? We’re looking for enthusiastic, adaptable Teaching Assistants to join our team and work across a range of primary schools in the Derby area.

About the Role

You’ll work as a Teaching Assistant supporting pupils across Nursery, Reception, and Key Stage 1. Roles include:

Supporting children on a 1:1 basis, particularly those with Special Educational Needs (SEN)

*

Working within SEN Hub provisions, supporting pupils with a range of needs including:

*

Behavioural challenges

*

Low-functioning and cognitive development needs

*

Non-verbal communication

*

ADHD and SEMH (Social, Emotional, and Mental Health)

*

High-functioning behavioural support

*

Providing classroom support, assisting with small groups and whole-class activities

*

Helping create a positive, safe and inclusive learning environment

What We Offer

Variety of day-to-day, short-term, and long-term placements

Full-time hours (8:30am – 3:30pm), with occasional half-days available

Requirements

*

Experience working with children (school or childcare setting preferred)

*

A genuine passion for supporting young learners

*

Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff

*

Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

*

Two years of professional references

*

Completion of a face-to-face and online registration interview
