SEMH Teaching Assistant

Location: Wyke, West Yorkshire

Salary: £90 - £100 (dependent on experience)

Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time Opportunity

Start Date: ASAP

Are you a SEMH Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs? Are you a SEMH Teaching Assistant who holds resilience, empathy and commitment to help pupils thrive in a nurturing and inclusive environment?

We are seeking a dedicated SEMH Teaching Assistant to join a caring and forward-thinking school in Wyke, where every child is valued and supported to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

Provide tailored support to pupils with SEMH needs, both in and out of the classroom

Build trusting relationships to help pupils feel safe, understood and motivated

Support behaviour management strategies and emotional regulation techniques

Work closely with teachers, SENCOs and external professionals

Contribute to personalised learning plans and interventionsWhat We’re Looking For

Experience working with children with SEMH needs (school or care setting)

A calm, patient and compassionate approach

Strong communication and teamwork skills
