Description

Affinity Workforce Solutions are proud to be supporting a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Yate seeking a Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team. This rewarding role involves working closely with pupils across both mainstream and SEN settings, providing tailored support to help them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Each child is unique, and your approach will be adapted to meet their individual needs. You'll work alongside classroom teachers and the SENCO to help pupils achieve their personalised learning goals, often through 1:1 support and small group interventions.

What You'll Be Doing

Supporting teachers with lessons and classroom activitiesHelping pupils with their learning, both one–to–one and in small groupsEncouraging children's development through play and structured tasksKeeping the classroom tidy and ready for learningObserving and sharing feedback on pupil progress with teaching staffIdeal Candidate Profile

Passionate about working with children and being creative in your approachConfident managing behaviour and supporting emotional wellbeingExperience leading a class or group in the absence of a teacherEmotionally resilient and calm under pressureFriendly, approachable, and committed to inclusive educationAwareness or experience of supporting individuals with SENBenefits of Working with Affinity Workforce
