Location: Oldbury

Salary: £89 per day (based on experience and qualifications)

Hours: 8:30am – 3:30pm

We are looking for compassionate and dedicated Teaching Assistants for a primary school in Oldbury.

Our school prides itself on a whole-school ethos, creating a sense of belonging and community while delivering a creative and nurturing curriculum. We cater to primary school age pupils, offering a wide range of opportunities for learning and personal growth. Key Responsibilities:

* Provide dedicated 1:1 support to pupils with severe learning difficulties and Autism, helping them access the curriculum and achieve their personal best.

* Collaborate with teachers and other staff to create a positive, inclusive and engaging learning environment that promotes independence.

* Adapt learning strategies to meet the individual needs of students, ensuring they are supported both academically and emotionally.

* Assist students in developing life skills, social connections and resilience through structured support and encouragement.

* Manage challenging behaviours in a calm and positive manner, ensuring a nurturing environment where students feel safe and supported.

* Contribute to personalised education plans, sharing insights to help shape each student’s learning journey.

Requirements:

* Experience working with children with SEND, particularly those with Autism and severe learning difficulties, is desirable.

* A caring, patient, and adaptable attitude, with a genuine passion for helping students thrive.

* Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with staff, students and the wider community.

* Ability to manage and respond to challenging behaviour in a positive and constructive manner.

* A commitment to ongoing professional development and training to enhance your skills.
