Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Level 2) - Classroom & 1:1 Support

Location: Darwen

Job Description:

Veritas Education is looking for enthusiastic and reliable Level 2 Teaching Assistants to support primary schools in Darwen. These roles involve a mix of classroom-based support and 1:1 work with pupils, including those with additional needs. Opportunities are available for both day-to-day supply and long-term contracts, offering flexibility and variety to suit your availability and career goals.

Responsibilities:

Support teachers in delivering engaging and inclusive lessons

Provide 1:1 support to pupils who may need additional help with learning or behaviour

Assist with classroom management and help maintain a positive learning environment

Encourage pupil participation and independence

Work closely with teaching staff and SENCOs to support individual learning plans

Contribute to the emotional and social development of pupilsWhat We're Looking For:

A relevant qualification, such as Level 2 in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent)

Experience working with children in a school setting, particularly in Key Stage 1 or 2

A caring, patient, and adaptable approach to supporting young learners

Good communication and teamwork skills
