Job Title: Teaching Assistant

Location: M13, Manchester

Hours: Part-time, Monday to Friday (8:30 AM - 1:30 PM, with a 30-minute break each day)

Pay: £13.69 to £15.87 per hour

Start Date: ASAP

Contract: Long-term, ongoing

Reeson Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and welcoming mainstream primary school in the M13 area of Manchester. This is a part-time, long-term role working every morning until early afternoon, perfect for an experienced Teaching Assistant who is passionate about supporting children with complex needs.

The Teaching Assistant will be working across EYFS and KS1 classes, supporting pupils with profound learning needs, ASD, non-verbal communication needs, and a range of other additional challenges. This role requires a dedicated Teaching Assistant who can remain patient, adaptable, and proactive when meeting the diverse needs of the children.

Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities:

Provide small group and 1:1 support for pupils in EYFS and KS1

Support children with profound learning needs, ASD, and non-verbal communication

Help deliver tailored interventions across literacy, numeracy, phonics, and social development

Assist with behaviour regulation using positive and supportive strategies

Foster independence, confidence, and engagement in pupils

Work closely with teachers and SEN staff to deliver effective learning supportTeaching Assistant Requirements:

Proven experience as a Teaching Assistant in UK primary schools

Strong SEN experience, particularly with ASD, SEMH, non-verbal pupils, and profound learning needs

Calm, nurturing, and patient approach to supporting children with complex needs

Flexibility and resilience, with the ability to adapt quickly in a fast-paced setting

Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
