Teaching Assistant - KS1 - Bury - Full-Time - ASAP Start

We are working with a welcoming and supportive primary school in Bury that is seeking a confident and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join their KS1 team starting ASAP.

Job Details:

Position: Teaching Assistant (KS1)

Location: Bury

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, term-time only)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

Role and Responsibilities:

As a Teaching Assistant in KS1, you will:

Support the class teacher in delivering engaging and effective lessons

Work 1:1 and in small groups with pupils who need additional support

Assist with phonics, literacy, and numeracy sessions

Help create a positive and inclusive classroom environment

Promote pupil development and well-being as a valued Teaching Assistant

The Ideal Teaching Assistant Will Have:

Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, preferably in KS1

Strong interpersonal and communication skills

A calm, patient, and nurturing approach

A passion for supporting children's education and development

A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
