We are currently seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a warm and welcoming KS1 team at a fantastic primary school in Wigan . This is a full-time Teaching Assistant position starting ASAP, ideal for someone who is passionate about education and child development.

Job Details:

Position: Teaching Assistant (KS1)

Location: Wigan

Start Date: ASAP

Contract Type: Full-Time (Monday to Friday, term-time only)

Salary: Competitive, based on experience and qualifications

Your Role as a Teaching Assistant:

As a Teaching Assistant, you will:

Work closely with the class teacher to support daily teaching and learning

Deliver 1:1 and small group support to children who need extra help

Assist with phonics, reading, writing, and numeracy activities

Promote a safe and engaging learning environment

Be a dependable Teaching Assistant who contributes positively to school life

What We're Looking For:

Experience working as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school, ideally in KS1

A calm, caring, and patient approach to supporting young learners

Strong communication and teamwork skills

A DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

A proactive attitude and commitment to your role as a Teaching Assistant
