Smile Education are proud to be working in partnership with a prestigious independent school in Wolverhampton to recruit an experienced Teaching Assistant on a temp-to-perm basis.

We are seeking a dedicated professional to provide 1:1 support for a student with complex needs. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Teaching Assistant looking for long-term stability within a supportive school environment.

Role details:

Position: Teaching Assistant (1:1 Support)

Contract: 12 weeks temporary leading to permanent employment

Location: Private Independent School

Start date: ImmediateResponsibilities:

Provide personalised 1:1 support for a student with complex needs

Demonstrate strong behaviour management skills

Work independently and effectively to meet the student’s needs

Support learning across KS3 and KS4

Work closely with teaching staff and SEN teams to ensure student progressRequirements:

Previous experience working in a similar role within a school setting

Recent experience supporting students with SEN

Proven track record of working with KS3 and KS4 pupils

Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to adapt to different situations
