£440 - £550 Per week

Vision for Education are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to join one of our partner SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) schools in Ashford. This is a highly rewarding opportunity to support young people who require additional emotional, behavioural, and learning support to thrive both inside and outside of the classroom.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with class teachers and the wider support team to provide 1:1 and small group interventions, helping pupils to re-engage with their education, develop social skills, and build positive relationships.

The School

Our partner SEMH school in Ashford provides a nurturing, supportive, and inclusive environment for children and young people with additional needs. Staff are passionate about removing barriers to learning and ensuring every pupil has the opportunity to succeed. The school promotes a therapeutic approach and places strong emphasis on teamwork, consistency, and pastoral care.

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you will need to:

Be patient, compassionate, and adaptable.

Have a genuine desire to support children with SEMH and additional needs.

Be able to build positive and trusting relationships with pupils.

Ideally have experience working in an SEMH, SEND, or alternative provision setting (not essential as training will be provided).

Hold (or be willing to apply for) an Enhanced Child Workforce DBS registered on the Update Service.
