SEN Teaching Assistant (Primary)

Location: Brighton & Surrounding Areas

Start Date: ASAP

Hours: Full-time / Part-time / Flexible supply options

Salary: £13.70 – £14.50 per hour

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs (SEN)? Do you have the patience, empathy and dedication to help pupils thrive in inclusive learning environments?

Supply Desk is working with a number of welcoming primary schools across Brighton and nearby areas, and we’re looking for caring and committed SEN Teaching Assistants (SENTAs) to join our team. Whether you’re experienced or just starting out, if you’re ready to make a difference – we’d love to hear from you.

Your Role Will Include:

Supporting pupils with a range of SEN needs, often on a one-to-one or small group basis

Building positive relationships to help children feel safe, supported and included

Assisting teachers and SENCOs in delivering tailored learning plans

Creating a nurturing and structured classroom environment

Encouraging independence, confidence and social development

Helping to reduce barriers to learning and promote full classroom participation

What We’re Looking For:

A genuine passion for supporting children with SEN

Calm, patient and professional approach

Previous experience in SEN or similar support roles is highly desirable

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

A collaborative team player who’s flexible and reliable
