SEN Teaching Assistant - Reception Class (EYFS)

Lewisham, London

Start Date: September 2025

Contract: Term-time only, Monday to Friday, 8:30am - 3:30pm

Pay: £90-£100 per day (PAYE, paid weekly) - rising to £110-£120 from week 13

Contract Length: Until July 2026, with the potential to extend or secure a permanent contract

Are you a caring, patient and enthusiastic individual looking to make a difference in a child's early education?

Our partner mainstream primary school in the London Borough of Lewisham is seeking a Special Educational Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant to join their warm and welcoming Reception class in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS).

This rewarding role involves supporting a child with additional needs, including elements of personal care, helping them to access learning, build independence, and thrive in the classroom.

Requirements:

Experience working with children, ideally within an SEN or EYFS setting

A patient, empathetic approach and commitment to supporting each child's individual needs

Ability to work effectively as part of a team and communicate well with staff, pupils, and parents

Willingness to provide personal care when required
