Area- Kidderminster

Day Rate- £89.00-£104.00

Days: Monday to Thursday: 8:30am - 3:30pm

Friday: 8:30am - 1:00pm (for the first 3 weeks)

We are looking for a caring and dedicated Teaching Assistant to provide 1:1 support for a pupil with additional needs in our Reception class in Kidderminster. This rewarding role involves helping the child access the curriculum, develop communication and social skills.

You will work closely with the class teacher and the SENCO to implement a tailored learning plan, using visual aids, sensory activities, and structured routines to support the child's development.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 support to a child in an Reception classroom

Assist with personal care, including toileting and hygiene

Facilitate sensory breaks and support emotional regulation

Monitor and record progress in line with EHCP targets

Build a trusting and supportive relationship with the child and their family

Collaborate with teaching staff, external specialists, and therapists

The Ideal EYFS SEN Teaching Assistant Will Have:

Experience working in an EYFS setting

Experience supporting children with SEN, ideally non-verbal or with autism

A calm, nurturing, and patient approach

Confidence in providing personal care

Good communication and teamwork skills

A willingness to learn and adapt to the child's evolving needs

Relevant qualifications or training (e.g., Level 2/3 TA, SEN training, safeguarding)
