We're working with several welcoming and inclusive primary and secondary schools in Truro that are seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their teams. These roles are ideal for individuals with a passion for education who are looking to make a real difference in the classroom.

About the role:

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll work closely with class teachers to support pupils with their learning, provide targeted intervention, and help create a positive and inclusive learning environment. The role may involve one–to–one support, small group work, or general classroom assistance depending on the needs of the school.

Key responsibilities include:

Supporting pupils with their learning across a range of subjects

Providing one–to–one or small group interventions

Assisting with classroom preparation and behaviour management

Working closely with teaching and SEN staff to ensure pupil progress

Promoting positive behaviour and wellbeing

We're looking for candidates who:

Have experience working with children (school, childcare, or youth work settings)

Are enthusiastic, proactive, and reliable

Communicate effectively with both pupils and staff

Understand safeguarding and the importance of consistency

Can commit to working during school hours, term time
