TeacherActive are seeking a committed and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to join a specialist secondary school in Sittingbourne, working with students across Key Stages 3 and 4. Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

Support students with SEMH needs both in and out of the classroom

Assist with lesson delivery under the direction of teaching staff

Foster positive relationships to support emotional regulation and social development

Promote an inclusive learning environment tailored to individual student needs

Contribute to behaviour management strategies and pastoral care

What We’re Looking For in a Teaching Assistant:

Experience working with young people, ideally within an SEMH or SEN setting

Patience, empathy, and a strong sense of commitment

Ability to work effectively as part of a team

Strong communication skills and a proactive approach

A desire to help young people overcome barriers to learning
