Teaching Assistant (TA) – Level 2 or 3 Qualified

Location: Year 3 – Primary School L9

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Fixed Term - September - December

Salary: £105.00

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant primary school team, supporting our Year 3 class. The successful candidate will play a key role in enhancing learning experiences for all pupils, particularly through targeted interventions and support for children with additional needs.

Requirements:

Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Supporting Teaching and Learning (or equivalent).

Previous experience working in a primary school setting is essential.

Confident in delivering interventions in phonics, reading, and maths.

Comfortable providing both 1:1 support and small group work.

Experience supporting children with SEN (Special Educational Needs).

Able to work collaboratively with the class teacher to support whole-class learning.

Positive, proactive and enthusiastic approach to working with children and staff.

Your role will include:

Supporting pupils’ learning and development both inside and outside the classroom.

Running small group interventions tailored to pupils’ individual needs.

Providing targeted 1:1 support to pupils who require additional help.

Assisting the class teacher with planning, resources and classroom management.

Promoting a safe, inclusive and nurturing learning environment.
