Job Title: Teaching Assistant (TA)

Location: Dunscroft

Pay Rate: £95 – £120 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day

GSL Education are currently seeking adaptable and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to work on a day-to-day basis across schools in the Dunscroft area. As a TA, this role is ideal for individuals who enjoy variety, have a flexible approach to education, and are keen to support pupils’ learning and well-being in different classroom environments.

Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant:

Provide in-class support to the teacher, helping to manage classroom behaviour and encourage active learning.

Work one-to-one or with small groups of pupils to reinforce learning objectives.

Help set up classroom resources and assist with daily routines.

Build positive relationships with pupils and staff, offering emotional and academic support.

Promote a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.

Requirements for Teaching Assistant:

Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is desirable.

A patient, flexible, and proactive approach to supporting students.

Ability to quickly adapt to new school environments and classroom dynamics.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

An enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service or willingness to apply for one.

A full, up-to-date CV with explanations for any gaps in employment over the last 10 years.
