Job Title: Special Education Needs (SEN) Teaching Assistant Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) School

Location: Barnstaple, Devon

Salary: GBP85 – GBP95 per day

TeacherActive is currently seeking dedicated and passionate Special Education Needs Teaching Assistants with experience in Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) to join our team in Barnstaple. This rewarding role involves supporting students with complex needs in an educational environment, fostering their development and enhancing their learning experience.

Key Responsibilities:

– Provide one–to–one and small group support to students with PMLD.

– Implementing individualized learning plans in collaboration with the teaching staff.

– Assisting in personal care and hygiene routines.

– Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

– Previous experience working with students with PMLD is highly desirable.

– A compassionate and patient approach to working with students with complex needs.

– Strong communication and teamwork skills.

– Flexibility and adaptability to respond to the individual needs of each student.

Qualifications:

– Minimum Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent.

– Additional qualifications related to SEN or PMLD would be advantageous.
