Job Title: Teaching Assistant Level 2

Location: Tameside, Greater Manchester

Contract Type: Full–Time / Part–Time (Term–Time Only)

Salary: GBP90 – 105 per day

Start Date: September 2025

About the Role: Are you passionate about supporting children in their learning and development? We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Level 2 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school within the Tameside area.

You will work closely with teachers and other support staff to provide high–quality classroom support, assist with planning and preparation, and help ensure every pupil has the opportunity to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Key Responsibilities: Support teaching staff in the delivery of high–quality learning activities

Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and Behaviour Support Plans

Work one–to–one and with small groups to support learning outcomes

Provide feedback to pupils and support their emotional well–being

Prepare learning resources and help maintain a stimulating classroom environment

Supervise pupils during break/lunch times as required

Requirements: Level 2 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)

Experience working with children in an educational setting

Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents

A patient, caring, and flexible approach to supporting learners

A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children

Desirable: Experience working with children with SEND

First Aid qualification

Knowledge of phonics (if primary–based role) or subject–specific support (if secondary)
