Job Title: Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Location: Hillingdon, London

Start Date: September 2025

Pay: 90– 105 PAYE (Experience dependant)

Tradewind Recruitment is currently supporting a vibrant and inclusive primary school in the London Borough of Hillingdon, which is seeking experienced Teaching Assistants to join their team from September. The school has a Specialist Resource Provision (SRP) dedicated to supporting children with Autism (ASD) and they are looking for proactive, enthusiastic and resilient individuals to provide high–quality support on a supply basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for Teaching Assistants with a genuine passion for working with children with special educational needs and a desire to make a meaningful difference in their educational journey.

About the role:

Supporting pupils within the SRP unit as well as within the mainstream classroom where appropriateAssisting with the implementation of EHCPs and behaviour support strategiesCollaborating with class teachers, SENCOs and external professionals to deliver tailored supportEncouraging the development of communication, social and emotional skillsCreating a safe, supportive and engaging learning environmentThe ideal candidate will have:

Proven experience working with children with SEND, particularly autismA calm, patient and flexible approachStrong communication and interpersonal skillsA proactive and committed attitude with a willingness to adaptThe ability to manage challenging behaviours with sensitivity and confidenceWhy Register with Tradewind?
