SEN Teaching Assistant - Long-Term Role (September Start)
Location: BL9 postcode, Bury
Pay: Up to £120 per day
Contract: Temporary, long-term
Start Date: September
About the Position
We are recruiting an SEN Teaching Assistant for a long-term temporary role starting in September at a school in the BL9 area. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs and is looking for a stable role across the academic year.
What You'll Be Doing
Supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis
Assisting with learning activities tailored to individual needs
Helping pupils develop confidence, independence, and social skills
Working closely with teachers and the SENCO to follow support plans
Providing consistent support in and out of the classroom
Who This Role Suits
Individuals with experience supporting children with SEN (ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or learning difficulties)
Patient, reliable, and proactive candidates
Strong communicators who work well as part of a team
Previous school-based experience is desirable but not essential
