Description

Key Responsibilities

* Deliver high-quality, engaging, and interactive training sessions to financial apprentices, using a range of teaching methods to cater for diverse learning styles and ensure positive outcomes.

* Facilitate classroom instruction and hands-on training to ensure apprentices acquire the necessary knowledge and skills for their role, including case studies, guest speakers, and real-world scenarios.

* Collaborate with the curriculum development team to create, update, and enhance course materials, lesson plans, and assessments that reflect industry standards and regulatory requirements.

* Conduct workplace visits to observe apprentices, providing feedback, guidance, and support to reinforce learning.

* Work with employers during visits to review apprentice progress, complete tripartite reviews, and agree targets and interventions as needed.

* Conduct formal and informal assessments, providing constructive feedback to support learner development and ensuring all assessment activities are fair and transparent.

* Manage a caseload of apprentices, ensuring timely progression and achievement of qualifications/standards.

* Ensure visits and assessments are in line with training plans, qualification/standard requirements, and apprenticeship guidelines.

* Monitor progression to ensure all aspects of delivery, learning, and assessment are completed to enable apprentices to meet end-point assessment criteria.

* Maintain accurate records on the E-portfolio system, ensuring evidence is audit-ready and available for quality checks.

* Engage in continuous professional development (CPD) aligned to business needs and curriculum growth.

* Promote a positive image of our client and ensure employers are aware of off-the-job training activities, monitoring completion throughout the apprenticeship journey.

* Plan, prepare, and deliver mock end-point assessment activities to prepare apprentices and liaise with employers to agree readiness for end-point assessment.

* Work with management and business development teams to maintain targeted caseload numbers.

* Promote and monitor safeguarding, Prevent Duty, equality of opportunity, and safe working practices as defined by company policies.

* Demonstrate consistently the positive values and behaviours of the organisation.

* Undertake other reasonable duties assigned by the line manager.

Person Specification

Qualifications and Training

Degree in a related subject or qualified to industry-recognised standard.

Post-16 Teaching Qualification (DET, Cert Ed, PGCE, etc.) or willingness to achieve within an agreed timeframe.

TAQA (or equivalent) or willingness to achieve.

Commitment to continuous professional development.

English & maths at Level 2 (GCSE grade C/4 or equivalent) or willingness to achieve.

Experience

Minimum 3 years’ relevant industry experience.

Apprenticeship delivery and assessment in the post-16 sector.

Track record of teaching, assessment, and curriculum contribution.

Experience of using learning technologies, ILPs, and tracking systems.

Experience with E-portfolio systems.

Proven professional or vocational expertise.

Experience planning and completing progress reviews with employers.

Skills and Knowledge

Ability to deliver KPIs, implement change, and improve the learner experience.

Commitment to reflective practice, development, and performance improvement.

Strong administrative and organisational skills.

Excellent oral and written communication.

IT and data interpretation skills for reporting and tracking.

Ability to manage workload effectively and work to deadlines.

Attributes and Other Requirements

Satisfactory DBS clearance.

Must live within 90 minutes of Head Office in North East and be willing to attend weekly sessions when required
