Senior Therapeutic Practitioner – Children’s Residential Care

Location: Olton / Solihull

Salary: £13.79 - £14.69 per hour

Hours: Full-time, Minimum 40 hours per week

Are you an experienced Senior Support Worker in Children’s Residential Care?

Willo Recruitment is proud to be recruiting on behalf of a well-established and highly respected Ofsted rated GOOD & OUTSTANDING residential childcare provider. This is an exciting opportunity to join a dedicated team that is passionate about creating therapeutic, development-focused homes for young people.

About the Role

As a Senior Therapeutic Practitioner, you’ll be key to supporting children and young people with emotional and behavioural difficulties in a nurturing, structured, and therapeutic environment. You will play a hands-on role in delivering high-quality care, mentoring team members, and ensuring a safe, stable setting where each child can thrive. You’ll also act as a first point of support for Therapeutic Practitioners.

What We’re Looking For

We are seeking candidates who:

* Have prior experience working in a Residential Children’s Care Home in a senior or supervisory capacity

* Demonstrate a strong understanding of safeguarding and child protection procedures

* Have experience supporting children and young people with Emotional and/or Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)

* Are resilient, compassionate, and confident in challenging situations

* Ideally have experience working in a therapeutic care environment

Qualifications / requirements

* Level 3 or 4 Diploma for Children and Young People’s Workforce (or equivalent) is highly desirable

* Must be working towards or willing to complete the relevant qualification if not already held

* DBS will be applied for directly by the home if you are successful
