SEND Teaching Assistant – Outstanding School in Blackley

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join our outstanding school in Blackley, supporting children with a range of complex needs.

Position: SEND Teaching Assistant

Hours: Monday – Friday, 08:30 – 16:30

Location: Blackley

About the Role:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with pupils who have complex needs, Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), and other additional learning needs. The role will involve supporting pupils with their learning, communication, and social development, as well as providing personal care where required. Team Teach training is essential for this role.

Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to pupils with SEND, both 1:1 and in small groups.

Assist with personal care and ensure the wellbeing of pupils.

Use Team Teach strategies to promote positive behaviour and create a safe learning environment.

Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and parents to meet individual needs.

The Ideal Candidate:

Experience working with children with SEND, particularly ASC and complex needs.

Team Teach trained (essential).

Compassionate, resilient, and enthusiastic about supporting every child to reach their potential.

Flexible and able to adapt to the needs of the classroom.
