Contract Type: Full-time | Term Time Only

Monarch Education is proud to be working with a large, Ofsted-rated Outstanding primary school in Melksham. This vibrant and welcoming school is celebrated for its nurturing ethos, structured learning environment, and unwavering commitment to helping every child thrive-academically, socially, and emotionally.

We're currently seeking a dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant who is ready to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young learners. If you're calm, compassionate, and passionate about supporting children with additional needs, this is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a team that truly values inclusive education.

The school's vision-"Nurture, Grow, Flourish"-is at the heart of everything they do. Housed in a modern, state-of-the-art building on the outskirts of Melksham, the school offers an inspiring setting where both pupils and staff are supported to reach their full potential.

What You'll Be Doing:

Supporting students with ASD in the classroom, helping them stay engaged and focused.

Working one-to-one or in small groups to deliver tailored learning and emotional support.

Helping with sensory activities and structured routines.

Assisting teachers with lesson prep and classroom organisation.

Encouraging independence and celebrating small wins every day. What We're Looking For:

Experience working with children or young people with SEND, especially ASD.

Someone who's caring, reliable, and not afraid to get stuck in.

Good communication skills and a team-player attitude.

Any relevant training (e.g. Autism Awareness, Team Teach) is a bonus-but not essential.

Why You'll Love Working Here:

The school has a great team and a really supportive atmosphere.

There's on-site parking and easy bus links, so getting there is simple.

You'll be part of something genuinely rewarding, helping students grow in confidence and ability.
