Description

Engage Education are looking for dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to join a growing team in Hemel Hempstead that offers a great place to work with an exciting curriculum and a team that provides support and guidance. This SEN school is for children with Autistic Spectrum Disorders from the ages of 4 to 19. This particular school is recognised as an outstanding hub for ASD support .

We are looking for SEN teaching assistants with experience working with students with ASD. The successful candidate will have excellent communication skills be creative, flexible and reliable. High levels of motivation, imagination and enthusiasm are a must and will allow you to build productive working relationships with the pupils. Working alongside the Class teacher you will need to provide support, addressing the needs of the pupils who have particular barriers to learning, as well as attending to the pupils' personal needs.

Job Description -

Work with the teacher to establish an appropriate learning environment for a children with ASDBe responsible for keeping and updating records as agreed with the teacherMonitor and evaluate pupils' responses and progress against action plans through observationAssist in the development and implementation of appropriate behaviour management strategies for learners with ASDBe aware of and support diversity and ensure all pupils have equal access to opportunities to learn and developPerson Specification -

Experience working with students with SENEnglish and Maths qualification at GCSE level or above.Excellent communication skillsImagination and enthusiasm to promote strong and effective teamworkBe ready for a challenge in an ambitious working environmentAbout us:
