Are you an enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting children with Special Educational Needs (SEN)? We are seeking a skilled SEND Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Redbridge.

About the Role

This is a fantastic opportunity to work closely with three Year 5 pupils (ages 9–10), all of whom have Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and are working below age-related expectations. The role involves providing 3:1 support, focusing primarily on academic engagement and progress rather than personal care.

You will:

• Help pupils stay focused and motivated in lessons.

• Provide targeted support across the curriculum, adapting resources and tasks.

• Use effective behaviour management strategies to create a consistent and supportive learning environment.

• Work alongside class teachers and the SENCO to ensure personalised learning plans are followed.

Candidate Requirements

• Strong experience in supporting pupils with SEN, particularly at Key Stage 2.

• Confident in behaviour management – firm, consistent, yet empathetic.

• Enthusiastic, patient, and adaptable.

• A genuine commitment to helping children thrive academically and socially.
