About the Role

We are looking for a dedicated and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant to join a supportive and nurturing school in Preston. You will play a key role in helping children with special educational needs (SEN) access learning, build confidence, and achieve their full potential.

This role is highly rewarding and would suit candidates with experience as a Teaching Assistant, Social Worker, Youth Worker, or those who have personal experience supporting individuals with SEN.

Support teachers in planning and delivering inclusive lessons and activities.

Adapt learning strategies and resources to meet individual needs.

Promote positive behaviour, emotional well–being, and resilience.

Build strong, trusting relationships with pupils, staff, and families.

Assist with personal care when required.

Contribute to maintaining a safe, supportive, and positive learning environment.

Personal experience supporting children or young people with SEN will also be considered.

A proactive, compassionate, and resilient approach.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage challenging behaviour effectively.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or willingness to apply).

Relevant qualifications (e.g., CACHE Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant, Care Certificate) are desirable but not essential.

Benefits

Term–time working: Monday to Friday, no evenings or weekends.

Dedicated support from a specialist education recruitment team.

Opportunity to secure permanent contracts in schools.

Competitive daily rate of 98.
