Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant Location: St HelensJob Type: Full-Time / Part-Time Salary: GBP90 - GBP100 per day (depending on experience and qualifications) Contract Type: Temporary with potential to become permanent

About the Role:Are you passionate about making a real difference in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs? We're looking for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive school in St Helens.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide tailored support to students with SEN, both in class and through targeted interventions

Assist the class teacher in planning and delivering inclusive lessons

Monitor and record pupil progress and behaviour

Help to create a positive, nurturing learning environment

Liaise with parents, carers, and external professionals where appropriate

Support the development of social skills and emotional regulation

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Previous experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)

A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach

Strong communication and team-working skills

The ability to build trusting relationships with pupils and staff

A relevant qualification (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, Teaching Assistant Diploma) is desirable

An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one)
