Description

SEN Teaching Assistant - 1:1 Behaviour & ADHD Support

Location: Harrow, HA3 (easily commutable from Wembley, Northolt, Greenford, Stanmore, Ruislip, and Watford)

Pay: £100-£115 per day (dependent on experience)

Contract: Full-time, long-term

Hours: 8:30am-04:00pm, Monday to Friday

Start Date: ASAP

An inclusive and forward-thinking primary school in Harrow is seeking a committed SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Year 4 pupil with ADHD and behaviour needs, you'll play a key part in helping them regulate, access learning, and stay safe throughout the school day. This 1:1 support role is ideal for someone calm, confident and experienced in managing challenging behaviour in a primary school setting.

The Role:

Provide consistent 1:1 support for a child in Year 4 with ADHD

Implement clear routines and behaviour strategies, including movement breaks and de-escalation

Offer close supervision during transitions and unstructured times (e.g. playground)

Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCo to deliver effective behaviour support

Track progress towards EHCP and behaviour targetsYou'll Need:

Experience as a Teaching Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant

Background supporting children with ADHD, SEMH or behaviour needs

A calm, consistent and patient approach to 1:1 support

Strong communication and relationship-building skills

Ability to maintain boundaries and use positive reinforcementWhy Apply?
