SEN Teaching Assistant – Primary Autism Provision

Lambeth | Full-time | £104.00 per day

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Lambeth, working within their specialist autism provision.

This is a rewarding opportunity to support children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in a nurturing environment where every child is encouraged to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

The Role:

Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with autism, tailoring learning to individual needs.

Assist the class teacher in delivering structured and engaging lessons.

Promote communication, independence, and positive social interactions.

Support pupils with emotional regulation and behaviour using autism-friendly strategies.

Work closely with teachers, therapists, and families to ensure holistic support.The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

Experience working with children with SEN, ideally autism.

Patience, empathy, and strong relationship-building skills.

A proactive and flexible approach to supporting learning and wellbeing.
