SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: London

Salary: £100 - £120 a day – depending on experience

Contract: Full-time, Long-term

Start Date: September 2025/On-going

If you are looking to gain experience working with young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, then don’t miss out on this exciting SEN Teaching Assistant opportunity in London. We are seeking Academically strong graduates and aspiring Clinical and Child Psychologists, to help support students with SEND/SEMH in schools across London

The Role as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

* Work as a SEN Teaching Assistant supporting students with SEN/SEMH in their academic, social and emotional development

* Provide 1:1 and small group interventions to pupils and support those who require additional support

* Assist with lesson preparation, classroom management, and learning resources

* Ensure student welfare and safeguarding is maintained

* Support class teachers and other staff members with behaviour management

* Opportunities to work in specialist SEN classrooms in some schools

What Schools Look For:

* Academically strong graduates with a genuine passion for education

* Ideally an undergraduate degree in Psychology or similar subject

* Excellent results across GCSE and A Level

* Strong communication and interpersonal skills

* Previous experience with young people in any setting is beneficial

* Experience supporting young people with SEN/SEMH is highly desirable

* Resilient, proactive, and eager to learn in a SEN Teaching Assistant role
