SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD Support) – Secondary School – Hackney
Start date: September 2025
Contract: Full–time (term–time only), long–term
Location: Hackney
Pay: 95– 115 per day (depending on experience)

A nurturing secondary school in Hackney is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to work specifically with students who have Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), helping them to thrive both academically and socially.
About the role:
Providing tailored 1:1 support to students with ASD across KS3 and KS4Assisting with classroom integration, emotional regulation, and transitions between activitiesWorking closely with the SENCO and speech and language therapistsHelping to adapt learning materials to meet individual needsSupporting EHCP implementation and progress trackingAbout you:
Previous experience supporting children or young people with autismCalm, consistent and nurturing approach to behaviourExcellent communication skills and a collaborative mindsetUnderstanding of sensory processing differences and anxiety in studentsEnhanced DBS or willingness to applyWhy join this school?
