SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Rowley Regis, Birmingham B65

Pay Rate: £105 - 115

Days: Monday to Friday (Term Time Only)

Start Date: 01/09/2025

Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant who thrives in a busy, inclusive classroom environment? A warm and welcoming primary school in Rowley Regis is looking for a confident TA to join their team this September.

This is a full-time role supporting across the school, working with small groups of children with additional needs, including autism, speech and language challenges, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.

Key Responsibilities:

Support children with a range of special educational needs within the classroom and sensory friendly areas

Adapt learning tasks to suit different abilities and support access to the curriculum

Promote positive behaviour and help pupils develop social skills

Work closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver targeted interventions

Encourage independence and confidence in learning

We're Looking For:

Prior experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting

A flexible, proactive approach with a strong team ethic

Someone confident supporting groups and adapting to different classroom needs

Commitment to a long-term role and building strong relationships with pupils
