Description

Teach Now is seeking a compassionate and resilient SEN Teaching Assistant with a specialism in Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs to join a welcoming and forward-thinking secondary school in Barnet. The Role

As an SEMH Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with students across Key Stages 3–5, providing vital emotional and academic support to help them re-engage with learning. Your responsibilities will include:

• Building trusting, positive relationships with students to promote confidence and self-esteem.

• Supporting pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small groups to meet personalised learning and behavioural targets.

• Implementing strategies to manage challenging behaviours and support emotional regulation.

• Working in partnership with teachers, the SENCO, and pastoral staff to deliver tailored interventions.
