SEN Teaching Assistant - Exeter
Location: Exeter, Devon
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time / Part-time / Long-term / Temp-to-Perm
Pay: Competitive, dependent on experience
Prospero Teaching is seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Special Educational Needs in a range of inclusive and supportive primary and secondary schools across Exeter.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about making a difference in children's lives and wants to work in a rewarding educational environment.
Role Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support to pupils with SEN, including Autism, ADHD, SEMH, and learning difficulties.
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities.
Help create a safe, nurturing, and inclusive classroom environment.
Monitor and report on pupil progress and behaviour.
Support pupils with personal care needs, where required.
Requirements:
Experience working with children or young people with SEN (school-based or other settings).
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to apply).
Right to work in the UK.
