Teaching Assistant - Northampton

Location: Northampton

Start Date: September 2025

Contract Type: Full-Time | Long-Term or Permanent

Salary: Competitive daily rate (experience dependent)

Are you passionate about helping young people thrive-and ready to take an active role in their education?

We're working in partnership with several welcoming secondary schools across Northampton, all seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their teams from September 2025. Whether you're an experienced TA or just beginning your journey in education, this is your chance to support students in a meaningful and hands-on way.

This role is ideal if you're looking to make a real difference in the classroom, gain valuable school-based experience, or explore a future in teaching or child development.

What You'll Be Doing:

Working alongside teachers to support learning across a range of subjects and year groups (KS3 and KS4)

Providing targeted support to students with additional needs, both 1:1 and in small groups

Helping deliver intervention sessions and adapt materials to suit individual learning styles

Encouraging positive behaviour, resilience, and independent thinking

Assisting with classroom organisation, engagement, and daily routines

Playing a key role in creating a calm, inclusive and encouraging school environment

We're Looking For Someone Who:

Genuinely enjoys working with young people and helping them succeed

Has great communication skills and a confident, caring manner

Can stay calm, flexible, and solution-focused in a busy classroom setting

Ideally has experience in education, youth work, coaching, or support roles (not essential)

Shows initiative and is eager to learn and grow within a school environment

Is reliable, enthusiastic, and committed to making a difference each day

What You'll Gain in Return:

A long-term, stable role with potential to go permanent

Opportunities across supportive and well-led schools in Northampton

Competitive weekly pay and access to funded CPD

Free training in safeguarding, behaviour strategies, and SEND through our education partners

A pathway into teacher training or careers in education and child development

Ongoing guidance and encouragement from a friendly, experienced recruitment team

Start your journey in education this September and help shape the next generation-one student at a time.
