Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)

Location: Brigg

Pay Rate: £88.94 – £114.84 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you passionate about supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) and making a positive impact in their educational journey?

GSL Education are currently seeking dedicated and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistants to join schools in Brigg. This is a wonderful opportunity to work closely with students who require additional support and help create a nurturing, inclusive learning environment.

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN).

Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

Support students with SEN in the classroom and assist with their academic, social, and emotional development.

Provide one-to-one or small group support tailored to individual learning needs.

Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and ensure students’ needs are met.

Support students with behavioural or communication difficulties, fostering a positive and inclusive classroom environment.

Assist with classroom activities, including preparing resources and aiding with lesson delivery.

Monitor and track students' progress, providing feedback to teachers.

Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:

Previous experience working with students with SEN or in an educational or care setting is preferred.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a patient and nurturing approach.

A good understanding of SEN, including autism, dyslexia, and behavioural disorders.

Ability to adapt to different student needs and work independently as well as part of a team.

A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.

A full, up-to-date CV with clear explanations for any employment gaps in the past 10 years.
