Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant (TA)

Location: Barton-upon-Humber

Pay Rate: £88.94 – £114.84 per day (depending on experience)

Start Date: Immediate

Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long-term | Full-time / Part-time

Are you a compassionate and dedicated individual with a passion for supporting students with Special Educational Needs (SEN)?

GSL Education are currently seeking experienced and empathetic SEN Teaching Assistants to work in schools across Barton-upon-Humber. This is a fantastic opportunity to support students’ learning and development while making a positive impact on their educational journey.

As a SEN TA, you will provide tailored support to help students overcome barriers to learning, ensuring they can fully participate in classroom activities.

Responsibilities as a SEN Teaching Assistant:

Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with SEN, including those with physical, emotional, or learning difficulties.

Assist the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management.

Adapt teaching materials and resources to meet the needs of individual students.

Help students develop social and emotional skills to engage successfully with their peers.

Monitor and record student progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents where appropriate.

Support students with personal care, if necessary, following school guidelines and policies.

Requirements for SEN Teaching Assistant:

Previous experience working with children with Special Educational Needs in an educational or care setting is desirable.

A caring, patient, and flexible approach to supporting students.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

A valid enhanced DBS certificate registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply for one.

A full, up-to-date CV with clear employment history and explanations for any gaps within the last 10 years.
