SEN Teaching Assistant – London

Location: London

Salary: Pay to scale, depending on level of experience

Start Date: ASAP

Job Type: Full-time / Long Term

About the Role:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and inclusive primary school in London. This role offers the chance to support children with special educational needs both in mainstream classrooms and within specialist resource provisions, helping them thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Your Main Duties:

Provide 1:1 or small-group support for children with a range of needs (e.g. autism, speech and language difficulties, ADHD, or sensory processing needs).

Assist the class teacher in adapting and differentiating learning activities.

Support pupils’ emotional, social, and academic development.

Contribute to creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment.

Foster positive relationships with pupils, parents, and staff to support each child’s development.

What We’re Looking For:

Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting).

A positive, patient, and caring attitude.

Strong communication and teamwork skills.

A genuine passion for helping children thrive.

A degree or relevant qualification (highly desirable).
