Location: Lewisham, SE6Contract Type: Full-time via Milk Education

Working Hours: 8:15am - 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

About the RoleWe are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to support a Key Stage 2 pupil in Lewisham with an EHCP for Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in a child's education, working closely with the class teacher, SENCo, and external professionals to provide tailored support.

Key Responsibilities

Provide 1:1 support to a pupil with an ASD diagnosis, in line with their EHCP.

Assist with learning activities, social communication, and emotional regulation.

Work collaboratively with teaching staff to create an inclusive classroom environment.

Support the child in accessing the curriculum and building independence.

Promote positive behaviour and wellbeing.

Requirements

Previous experience supporting children with SEN (desirable but not essential).

A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach.

Ability to follow guidance from teachers and SENCo.

Right to Work in the UK.

Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service.
