Description

About the Role

Your Teaching is proud to be working in partnership with a vibrant and Ofsted Outstanding primary school in Hackney to find a kind, reliable, and enthusiastic SEN Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children with additional needs such as Autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language delays, and social-emotional challenges. The school is committed to inclusion and child-centred learning, and is looking for someone who shares their values of compassion, patience, and positivity.

You’ll be working closely with teachers and SEN staff to ensure every child feels supported, safe, and encouraged to succeed—both in their learning and personal development.

Your Day-to-Day Responsibilities Will Include:

* Providing individual and small group support to pupils with a range of special educational needs

* Supporting students’ personal, emotional, and academic progress

* Assisting with the implementation of EHCPs and tailored learning plans

* Creating a calm, inclusive, and supportive space for learning

* Working closely with class teachers and the SENCO to deliver high-quality support

* Celebrating small wins and building strong relationships with students

Ideal Candidate Profile:

* A caring and patient nature, with a genuine passion for helping children

* Comfortable supporting students who may present with challenging behaviour or additional needs

* Open-minded, flexible, and keen to learn and develop within a school setting

* Previous experience working with SEN is helpful, but not essential—training and guidance will be provided

* Someone who is available to start as soon as possible and committed to making a lasting difference

Why This School?

* A warm, inclusive, and community-focused school where every child is known and supported

* Outstanding leadership and a strong focus on staff well-being

* A collaborative and welcoming team of educators who value each member of staff

* Opportunities for training, progression, and long-term development

Why Work with Your Teaching?

* Competitive PAYE daily rate of £98–£105 depending on experience

* A supportive consultant who genuinely cares about matching you with the right school

* Ongoing advice and encouragement as you progress in your education career

* A chance to make a real difference in the lives of children who need your support most
