Job Title: SEN Teaching Assistant

Location: Finsbury Park, N4 2DH

Working Hours: 8:15 AM – 3:45 PM

Contract Type: Full-time, Long-term

Start Date: ASAP

Daily Pay: £90 – £105

Are you passionate about supporting children with special educational needs and ready to take the next step in your career? An outstanding Special Needs School in Finsbury Park is looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join their nurturing team.

About the School in Finsbury Park:

A well-established Special Needs School catering to students aged 4 to 18 years

Supports a wide range of SEN, including ASD, SEMH, and Learning Difficulties

Small class sizes of 8–12 pupils

Uses a child-centred, inclusive approach to learning

Supportive and friendly staff team committed to professional development

Role Overview:

As a SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

Provide 1:1 support for a pupil with ASD, both inside and outside the classroom

Help implement tailored strategies that meet the child’s educational and emotional needs

Work closely with the teacher and wider support team to ensure consistent, high-quality support

Foster a safe, engaging, and supportive learning environment

Requirements of a SEN TA:

Previous experience supporting children with SEN, especially ASD

Confident, proactive and able to take initiative

Patient, empathetic, and enthusiastic about making a difference

Strong communication and teamwork skills
