Description

Teach Now is looking for a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant (ASD) to join a nurturing and inclusive primary school in Enfield from September 2025.
This well-respected, two-form entry school is known for its outstanding support for pupils with additional needs. Based in a peaceful, residential part of Enfield, the school is easily accessible by public transport and offers a modern learning environment complete with sensory rooms, therapeutic resources, and a compassionate, experienced SEN team.
In this role, you will be providing 1:1 and small group support to a Key Stage 2 child with Autism Spectrum Disorder. Your responsibilities will include facilitating learning through structured support, implementing behaviour plans, and helping the pupil develop emotional regulation, independence, and communication skills. You will also work alongside the SENCo, speech therapists, and teachers to ensure the child’s needs are met in a holistic and consistent way.
RequirementsThe Ideal Candidate:
• Experience supporting children with ASD in a school or care setting.
• Calm, patient, and proactive with a creative approach to learning support.
• Confident using visual aids, social stories, and sensory strategies.
• A relevant Level 2/3 TA qualification or equivalent (desirable but not essential).
