Salary: £90 - £130 per day

Start Date: September

Contract Type: Full-time

Are you a passionate SEN Sports Coach looking to inspire and support students in a secondary school setting? We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEN Sports Coach to join our schools in Romford from September. This role is ideal for individuals who are committed to using sports and physical activity to engage and support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

The Role:

As an SEN Sports Coach, you will:

Plan and deliver inclusive sports sessions tailored to the needs of students with SEN, including those with ASD, ADHD, SEMH, and physical disabilities.

Use physical education to build confidence, teamwork, and positive behaviours in students.

Support students both in structured sports lessons and during unstructured times such as break and lunch.

Adapt activities to ensure all students can participate and achieve success.

Work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff to create a positive and engaging learning environment.

Requirements:

Previous experience working as an SEN Sports Coach, Teaching Assistant, or in a similar role within a school or sports setting.

A background in coaching, PE instruction, or sports leadership, ideally with experience supporting SEN students.

The ability to inspire, motivate, and build positive relationships with students.

Strong behaviour management skills and a proactive, patient approach to working with young people.

Relevant coaching qualifications (FA Level 1, Multi-Skills Coaching, or similar) would be an advantage.

Benefits:

Flexibility to Suit Your Lifestyle – Choose when and where you work, allowing you to maintain a healthy work-life balance.

Pathway to Permanent Roles – Use temporary assignments as a stepping stone to secure permanent positions in schools you enjoy working with.

Immediate Start Options – Take advantage of quick placement opportunities for those ready to start September.

Competitive Pay Rates – Earn competitive daily rates, with the potential for pay progression based on performance and experience.

Sociable Hours – Enjoy working within school hours, leaving your evenings and weekends free.

Temp Work – Choose your own shifts and assignments to suit your availability.

Please be advised that this role requires a strong knowledge and understanding of safeguarding and child protection and that the successful applicant must satisfy all background safer recruitment checks, including an enhanced DBS on the update service.
