Job Opportunity: SEN Learning Support Assistant

Location: Carshalton

Contract Dates: 03/09/2025 – 17/07/2026

Hours: 8:45am – 3:30pm, Monday to Friday

Contract Type: Long-term, Full-time

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of young people with special educational needs? We are currently recruiting on behalf of a specialist SEN College in Carshalton, dedicated to providing tailored education and support for learners aged 16–25 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD), and complex needs.

This welcoming and inclusive college fosters an environment focused on independence, communication, and life skills, and is seeking a compassionate and proactive SEN Learning Support Assistant to join their committed team from September.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide 1:1 and small group support to students with ASD, PMLD, and complex needs

* Assist in delivering personalised learning activities and therapy sessions

* Support students with personal care, mobility, and communication needs

* Promote positive behaviour, emotional well-being, and independent living skills

* Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and support staff to implement Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) and individualised learning plans

Ideal Candidate:

* Experience supporting individuals with SEN, particularly ASD and PMLD

* Empathetic, patient, and dedicated to inclusive education

* Comfortable with personal care responsibilities

* Strong communication skills and a team player
